I'm a reliable, organised, friendly and dedicated Edit Producer with factual entertainment credits for Channel 4, ITV, the BBC, Discovery, Sky and Channel 5 across subjects ranging from cookery, animal welfare and property to medical, antiques, crafts and competition formats.

I started as a Researcher in Children’s TV under Eric Rowan (BBC Exec and Producer of the Grange Hill Just Say No campaign) and went on to cast hundreds of couples over two long series of A Place In The Sun and accompanied patients through their plastic surgery journeys for Plastic Surgery School. As a tenacious and go-getting AP, I camped outside Westminster Abbey with a Royalist during the Royal Wedding of Kate & Wills, found the 40-year-old virgin, secured interviews with the Indian Special Forces, dressed in scrubs to follow world-famous surgeons and gained access to LA’s lapdancing scene.

As a PD, I broadened my range through more Casting and also Development. I followed the path onto Self-Shooting but wasn't very technical and ultimately hated it, but really enjoyed Directing crew, directing several series for terrestrial TV before moving predominantly into the edit, which I LOVE, and where I’ve spent 95% of my time since 2016. I've set the tone across brand new series as well as complied with the style of more established formats and am as happy pushing boundaries with witty pun-tastic comm as I am playing it safe with factually interesting and more serious script. I can run multiple edits (I've done four at most, I don't recommend it), give constructive feedback on footage, structure programmes, stick to tight schedules, make rough cuts on Avid, forge good working relationships with my editors and continue to be a calm, unflappable member of the edit.

I continue to enjoy working on Fact Ent and dip in and out of Reality, Ob Docs and Factual but really would love to work on Music or Biographical Documentaries, either in the edit, or as a Director.
