I am a BAFTA Elevate 2025-26 self-shooting director and producer with considerable experience making acclaimed documentaries for broadcasters and streamers. My work has tended to focus on social and political themes, often investigating controversial and complex subjects like the Grenfell disaster and radicalisation. 

I’m drawn to both defining moments in history and contemporary issues of the age, and stories that explore the perspective of the outsider, and abuses of power. With a background in and passion for history, and a decade working closely with Peter Kosminsky, I place great emphasis on meticulous research.

I'm committed to championing unheard perspectives, and have spent much of my career working with sensitive sources and hard-to-reach communities, including vulnerable people, children, and those experiencing trauma, bereavement and PTSD. I have filmed all over the world and enjoy using my Arabic when I can. 

My most recent film as a producer, Grenfell: Uncovered, won the Audience Award at Sheffield DocFest 2025, and before that I directed an RTS Award winning single for BBC One. I have just finished directing a theatrical feature doc for DARE Pictures. Read Less
