Hi there! I'm Josh, I'm an archive nerd/ producer based out of South London (though my Zoom backdrop is currently a beach in Barbados). I have predominantly worked in TV since I started in 2015 but have recently branched out into features such as 'The Contestant' for Misfits Entertainment/ Hulu, while my TV work has grown to include landmark (and very archive-rich) series such as 'Fight The Power!' for BBC Studios as well as popular sports documentaries such as 'Tour de France: Unchained' and 'Break Point' for Box To Box Films/ Netflix. I've also recently helped out on 'Beckham' (Netflix); 'Wagatha' (Disney) and 'Sarah Everard: The Search for Justice' (BBC).

Archive is my bread and butter and I'm very fortunate to have worked on projects about many fascinating subjects that have allowed me to explore the wide world of archival content and its many forms. Over the years I have built a solid database of contacts at archive libraries in almost every continent (and as soon as one opens in Antarctica I'll be getting their details too!) and I've learned that you need to utilize them and think creatively when going about sourcing content for a production. I know my way around the various rights, rules, and legalities of using all the various forms of archive content there is, including music promos, and I've taught myself how to navigate the rocky waters of copyright law and how to correctly apply fair-dealing defences where applicable and how to advise on the various levels of risk associated with each piece of content. A real archive nerd's dream moment. Recently I have been working with companies such as Box To Box, Misfits Entertainment, Dorothy St, Ventureland, BBC Studios, Avalon Television, Nutopia and Viacom Studios UK but in the past have worked with OR Media, IWC, Knickerbocker Glory, the British Film Institute, the American Film Institute - I have even crossed over the archive wall and worked for Newsflare, a very reliable news-video licensing site.
