I have worked with Jonny on several occasions in the edit and as a PD, and he never fails to deliver quality content and engaging scripts. As a PD recently, Jonny shot and directed a pilot doc for BBC Three; he was able to engage with new on-screen talent who had no experience with the filming process by putting them at ease and helping them navigate the process with ease and professionalism. Jonny's relaxed manner helped produce their master interviews that showed off their personalities due to his likeable personality gets the best out of contributors. As an edit producer, I have seen his ability to multitask several episodes at once, often dealing with pressurised deadlines, communicating well with his editors as well as keeping me informed of the delivery of cuts. I put him in charge of the first episode of a new documentary series where he helped shape the tone, and his understanding of using lyrics to drive a scene through his music choices made his episodes the ones that shone out on the first series of Dubai Hustle. Jonny is able to edit in different genres, whether it’s documentary, reality, competition formats and fact-ents series. His location PD and edit experience make him a reliable pair of hands that can see the bigger picture.
