I’m a senior Producer/Director and Edit Producer with over a decade of experience delivering high-end factual entertainment and observational documentary for UK and international broadcasters. I’m trusted on complex, high-pressure productions that demand strong editorial judgement, clear leadership and confident decision-making in fast-moving, real-world environments.
I’ve worked across five consecutive series of The Apprentice (BBC), directing in demanding multi-camera setups where precision, speed and calm authority are essential. The scale and pressure of the show has given me a deep understanding of how to manage talent, crews and story simultaneously, while delivering consistently at the highest level.
Alongside this, I’ve been a key creative force behind authored series including Beyond Chelsea (Channel 4), Worlds Apart (Channel 4) and The Bardsley Bunch (ITV), where I played a central role in shaping visual language, tone and narrative structure from the ground up. On these projects, I combined creative leadership with hands-on shooting and directing, ensuring clarity of vision from production through post.
I’m highly experienced in directing under extreme and time-sensitive conditions. This includes self-shooting alone in remote environments under significant time pressure, managing talent safely to a summit, and directing real-world sequences where timing is critical, such as hot air balloon shoots. I’m equally comfortable overseeing complex set pieces, location-based action and studio multi-camera setups, adapting quickly to whatever the production demands.
With extensive experience in post-production, including Edit Producer roles across both UK and US formats, I shoot with the edit firmly in mind. This allows me to make decisive creative choices on location, avoid overshooting, and ensure that story, performance and visual approach are always serving the final programme.
Alongside broadcast work, I’ve written and directed standalone documentaries and award-winning short films, bringing a strong sense of authorship, performance and visual storytelling to everything I make.
