Read MoreI am working as a freelancer editor since 2010. Originally from Italy, I have travelled around the globe in order to get the training I needed in order to realize my ultimate dream, to edit feature films. I have studied first in Italy (where I gained a Ph.D. in Film Studies), then in the US, (the Edit Center –NYC- and USC - L.A.), and here in the UK at Goldsmiths University of London, where I gained an MA in filmmaking with a specialty in the editing field. From 2010 on, I kept working and enlarging my contacts in the business, editing short form films of any genre (music videos, short narrative, short documentary, experimental) and recently having the opportunity to edit two feature length films. From 2013 to 2014 I co-edited the feature experimental documentary “Ming of Harlem. 21 Storeys in the Air”, directed by British filmmaker Phillip Warnell (16mm, 76 min). The film has been awarded worldwide, screened at Tate Modern in February and will be distributed by Soda Pictures and in selected cinema in the UK, during 2016. From March to July 2015, I have been in Los Angeles to edit a feature film drama directed by Australian director Patrick Pearse, “The Misfortunes of François Jane” (France/Australia, 96 min). The film will be released in the US in 2016. I also constantly collaborate with experimental artists and directors, as I did with photographer and filmmaker Richard Billingham with the single channel installation “Ray” I edited last February (2015, 33 min, 16mm).
As a freelancer, I know proficiently the software I constantly use to edit (FCP, Avid MC primarily), but I also like getting involved in bigger project as an assistant (as I did in the case of Grantchester, ITV/Kudos Film). I love what I do, and put all my passion for cinema in any project I work on.
