Pete Mills was my Assistant Producer on an episode of National Geographic’s maritime archaeology series ‘Drain the Oceans’. He provided all of the support, hard work and intelligence that I could have wished for. In terms of research he was great at engaging thoroughly with the subject and getting on top of the detail. He did a grand job excavating the contributors, getting them onside and maintaining those relationships, ensuring everyone was in good spirits when they came to face the camera. Drain the Oceans depends on cgi and Pete had a strong understanding of what was needed to develop the cgi, in particular he managed the highly detailed requests for technical information. He was a confident and efficient self-shooter when required and shot good observational material. At the same he was busy, practical and professional on location, helping to manage often complex shoot days He is a friendly, enthusiastic, positive team player and I’d love to work with him again.
