These often required great sensitivity with respect to subject-access (whether celebrities or vulnerable persons), as well as a balanced treatment of the resulting material.I'm also an accomplished scriptwriter and video editor / post-production supervisor, used to taking projects from conception through edit.I've been living and working in the UK (dual citizenship), for the past 4 years, and have recently completed an 18 month contract producing and directing VR films for prestigious clients such as Madame Tussauds and the All England Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon).I've recently lectured at the National Film and Television School (Beaconsfield) on how to shoot VR and the grammar of VR storytelling. However, traditional film and video storytelling remains my core skillset. Since arriving in the UK, I've produced work for several digital agencies (UXB London, Joule, Zealify, Incredibly) as well as charities (Oasis Aquila Housing, One Degree Mentoring, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, the Association for Citizenship Teaching) and news publishers (News UK, The Independent) - shooting, video editing and writing, often against strict deadlines. My work has been universally well received and i can provide references as necessary. One of my goals for 2019 is to find my way from corporate film-making into UK terrestrial broadcasting. In South Africa, I directed several prime time shows, as well as documentaries and news inserts, that have been broadcast across Africa, the US and EU. These include shows like Top Billing, Nature on Track, Street Journal and documentaries like Flat 13, featuring the last recorded interview with Nelson Mandela.I'm now hoping to leverage this experience to find similar work in the UK.I have a Masters Degree in Psychology and consider myself an excellent interviewer and researcher. I'm also at ease working with presenters and celebrities.I’m very experienced in insert-based magazine formats, but particularly interested in documentary-based video, drama and more recently, VR .My 2014 showreel is here: http://youtu.be/gEOG9XbD43M and my work for charities and schools can be viewed on my personal website www.sentientpictures.co.uk or my YouTube channel http://bit.ly/1Knw9cP
