Gerry Healy is a freelance archive producer working in film, television and other media. He has worked in this field since graduating and has many notable film and television credits including historical documentaries and other genres. Gerry has a BA (Hons) in English and MA in Modern Communication Studies. He is an avid reader of non-fiction, history, politics, current affairs, philosophy etc. Having managed both British Movietonews and British Pathe News he has an extensive knowledge of all major global archives and contacts at smaller private collections and access to a sizeable film library of mainly history/ war/Americana. Gerry has created new streams from unseen feature film and newsreel clips in prestigious archives, much of which is as yet unavailable online. He has also negotiated archive library collection sales. He has written directed and produced historical documentaries on the Spanish Civil War and the Korean War, both in colour. Gerry is very experienced in the issues surrounding copyright for programmes where the USA is involved either as the broadcaster or supplier of footage.
