I’m a shooting assistant producer/director and licensed drone pilot with a decade of experience making films about science and natural history. I have worked in a variety of factual genres, from landmark series, one-off documentaries, to fast turn-around presenter-led shows. I’ve written/produced for presenters ranging from David Attenborough to Alice Roberts, Andrew Marr to Richard Hammond. Past awards for my films include a BAFTA and Woods Hole (Flying Monsters 3D) and Emmy nomination (PBS - Can You Live Forever).I’m at my best on long-stints overseas having produced shoots in Asia, South America, the US and across Europe. I have also filmed in many challenging situations including high altitude, rope access, and underwater. I have worked with both wild and habituated animals as well as been involved in building hides and sets for filming.I have built and own several high-end aerial camera drones, and flown with digital cinema including the Red Epic, Panasonic GH4 and X5R. I also have field experienced in the use and maintenance of camera stabilisation gimbals (Movi/Ronin), robotic motion control (CamBlock), long-term time-lapse and many other camera techniques.
