Read MoreOver the past 15 years, I have built a career directing and producing premium wildlife and expedition films for major international broadcasters and streaming platforms. Having started out managing field logistics for the Disneynature feature Chimpanzee, my journey in the industry has come full circle: most recently, I directed Sea Lions of the Galápagos for the same renowned strand.
Alongside these feature films, I have worked across various landmark natural history series for the BBC, Nat Geo and Netflix, notably the acclaimed series, Our Planet. Recruited to the production in 2014, I led and directed shoots in some of the world’s most demanding environments, from the frozen floe edge of the Canadian Arctic to the remote rainforests of the Congo Basin, consistently delivering high-quality cinematic imagery alongside powerful, character-driven storytelling.
In addition to blue-chip wildlife filmmaking, I have also produced and directed several human-interest and conservation-led documentaries, including a major feature documentary with renowned oceanographer Sylvia Earle and a 75-minute conservation film focused on the Galápagos Islands. More recently, I collaborated closely with writing teams out in LA, further strengthening my skills in narrative structure, story development, and character-led filmmaking.
Before moving into television, I studied Zoology at University of Leeds and began my career at the Royal Geographical Society, where I helped plan scientific and exploratory expeditions around the world. This experience laid the foundation for my strengths as a filmmaker: managing risk in challenging locations, overseeing complex international logistics and budgets, and finding creative solutions in high-pressure environments.
