I am currently the Managing Director of Hidden Narratives, a start-up company working with immersive technology to enable storytelling in new and exciting ways. Our current project is an early-stage research production funded by Audience of the Future (Innovate UK) in collaboration with the Wales BAFTA award-winning crime drama series "BANG" (S4C/BBC).I am also returning to industry as a freelance factual Director Producer after starting a family and working for five and a half years as an Executive Project Officer at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Working with Senior Management, I was one of a small team raising over £3m for industry-led, commercial and knowledge transfer activity relating to creative and digital industry sector strategies. Money raised included EU funding and investment from the Welsh Government.My TV industry experience is in non-fiction, including observational, specialist factual (science), education, and current affairs. I have vast experience of working on human-interest stories and sensitive issues, such as:- steroid abuse and muscle dysmorphia - the inside life of Romany Gypsies - prejudice and immigration in Wales - sex, drug and alcohol addiction - medical emergency life storiesI consider myself a skilled team leader with good project management skills, overseeing the production from brief to delivery on time and within budget.
