I am a London-based location sound recordist with fifteen years of experience across feature documentary, factual and branded content. I specialise in access-driven work — shoots where personal skills, patience and the ability to build genuine trust with contributors are as important as the sound itself.

I have a strong editorial instinct, developed through years of writing and co-creating long-form documentary projects, and I understand what a shoot needs from sound before I have to be told. I am confident making decisions on my own because my years of experience have taught me what works and what doesn't in the edit.

I am a native Spanish and Galician speaker, fluent in English and Portuguese, with conversational French and izakaya-level Japanese. I have a genuine ease with all kinds of contributors — whether that means working alongside professional athletes and celebrities or sitting with a contributor who is sharing intimate or difficult details of their life in front of a camera for the first time. Getting that relationship right and capturing excellent sound are the two things I do best, and I take them seriously. I am hands-on, a good communicator, and I bring a calm and positive presence to location: respectful, collaborative and with a sense of humour.

I have organised and managed foreign units independently across several continents, and I am experienced handling the full logistics of international documentary work — ATA carnets, kit shipping, local crew coordination, so I know how to help make life easy for the production team. I travel widely and am fully available for foreign locations.
