IItalian writer, director and performer working across cinema, screenwriting, theatre and experimental writing. Nicola Castellini’s work combines text, image, sound and live performance, with a particular focus on autobiographical writing, memory and experimentation.Between 1997 and 1999 he lived in London, where he developed an autobiographical autofiction diary that later became the basis for BLOCCHI DI SOLITO. After returning to Italy, he reworked his London experience into Clipwriting, a live participatory writing format first presented in 2000, in which text is created in real time through computer-generated writing and projected images.He is currently developing BLOCCHI DI SOLITO, a feature film set in London in 1997, for which he has created audiovisual proof-of-concept teasers.
