Doug Karo is a showrunner, writer, and producer specializing in comedy-driven unscripted television, digital content, and talent-led formats. With experience overseeing both creative development and physical production, Doug has created and run series across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms.

After getting his start in late night with Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Doug went on to sell series to Comedy Central and TBS and develop and run shows for Peacock, SYFY, WGN, FUSE, and other networks. His work spans hosted formats, reality competition, and documentary series, often built around distinctive comedic voices and talent partnerships.Doug has also produced projects that bridge digital media and traditional television. He created OCCUPY CONAN, the first broadcast television episode to be crowd-sourced with fan recreations. The special earned both a Webby Award and a Hollywood Reporter Key Art Award.

During COVID, Doug produced a commercial for Pap Cristo’s Greek restaurant starring Ja Rule that was viewed millions of times and featured on CNN and NBC’s Today Show.
