In my first year, we were awarded Broadcast Digital Entertainment Channel of the Year and nominated in Best New Comedy Format for Gods of the Game at the International Format Awards in 2021.My extensive experience producing a variety of shows helped me enormously in commissioning. As a freelancer, I have created and developed new ideas taking them from paper all the way through to pilot and commission, establishing first series across the genres of entertainment from quiz to panel, from comedy to reality and factual entertainment formats for all of the major broadcasters producing shows like Big Brother (C4), Room 101 (BBC) and Off Their Rockers (ITV).I am vastly experienced producing talent lead formats working with the likes of David Walliams, Alan Carr, Paul Merton, Katherine Ryan, Greg Davies, Rhod Gilbert, Jack Dee, Dara O'Briain and introducing new comedians like Nish Kumar, Jamali Maddix, Kiri Pritchard McLean, London Hughes, Dane Baptiste, Tez Ilyas, Jayde Adams, Ed Gamble and Tom Allen.I am experienced working in the nations and regions for Channel 4 and BBC; setting up unique production models, co-ordinating difficult schedules in the UK (Off Their Rockers), (Ask Rhod Gilbert) and abroad (Geordie Shore) (live coverage of the The Royal Wedding); and responsible for running multiple edits in post production (My Little Princess), (Hercules) with fast turnarounds and tight deadlines. Since 2010, I have also established my own internship schemes with the University of Salford and the University of Sheffield to find talent behind the camera from backgrounds which are currently under represented.Over the past year, I have been working as a development consultant getting brand new formats - from sports documentaries to big reality projects - pitch ready whilst also working on my own development slate. Whilst also pursuing my special interest in sport by producing and hosting a popular football podcast and I have been accepted for a part time executive level course (MSD)at the University of Manchester in Sport Directorship later in 2021.My experience on both sides of the desk brings leadership, value, versatility, flexibility and knowledge alongside an extensive network of contacts. I have a strong focus on performance and inspiring high performing creative people to bring the best ideas to the screen.Take a look at my showreel to see the range of original comedy entertainment formats I have developed and produced here: https://youtu.be/tK3y9r57ULYLinks to the trailers of the new and original shows at Comedy Central to sit alongside 'Roast Battle' (Fulwell 73), 'Your Face or Mine' (Talkback), and 'Joel and Nish v the World' (Rumpus), include the successful reboot of Blockbusters (Thames), comedy travelogue series 'The Comedy Bus' (Spelthorne) with Tom Allen, Joel Dommett, and Iain Stirling, sports game show with Sir Bradley Wiggins and Tom Rosenthal - 'Gods of the Game' (Mad Monk), comedy musical special 'Amusical' (Burning Bright) hosted by Jayde Adams and Kiri Pritchard McLean, and 'The Chris Ramsay Show' (Avalon) series can be found below.
