I am a graduate of History from the University of Leeds with a passion for current affairs and international development, and a desire to work in television presenting and journalism. I am a bright, friendly and clear communicator with well-developed people skills. I am always efficient, accurate, and proactive in my work, with experience spanning marketing, education, hospitality and community engagement.My interest in television began with presenting on Sky Youth Reports, starring in short films, and my experience with the National Theatre. Since then, I have developed a clear ambition to work in television, particularly in presenting, factual programming, current affairs or documentary-style storytelling. I am especially interested in making complex political, historical and global issues accessible to wider audiences.Alongside my studies, I create content showcasing small businesses and local experiences in Leeds. This has strengthened my confidence on camera, my ability to communicate naturally with different audiences, and my understanding of how to shape engaging stories for digital platforms. I was able to organically grow my platform to 4000 followers in one month of creating content.I am currently an Active Campus Activator at the University of Leeds, where I lead initiatives that encourage student participation in sport and wellbeing, developing strong organisational, leadership, and outreach skills. Alongside this, I work as a Tap Room Supervisor at Wylde Sky Brewery, and I have gained marketing experience through internships at GreenDawn and Reved, sparking my interest in sustainability, renewable energy, and the future of development. These experiences have reinforced my aspiration to apply my skills to global challenges through international development and diplomacy.Academically, my interests centre on Russian history, ethnic minorities, global affairs and international development. I aspire to work with organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the UK government, where I can combine my academic knowledge, cross-cultural awareness, and presenting skills to create meaningful content that communicates current affairs in a more accessible manner to wide audiences. I thrive in research environments, love problem-solving, and bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to every opportunity.
