I’ve worked with Amanda many times over the last 10 years. The projects have always been wildlife orientated, but have varied from blue chip, to presenter led or soap opera style and with a wide range of footage quantity and quality. Amanda has triumphed over all. She’s one of my ‘go to’ editors because of her reliability, creativity and organisational skills. She’s fast and thoughtful. And besides which, she’s a lovely person.
Amanda was the first ever editor I worked with and was the perfect steady pair of hands to get me through my first edit. 'cough cough' years later she is still one of my top editors. She is so easy to work with, very editorial and happy being left alone with a brief or working as a team. She is creative, has acres of experience and can turn her hand to anything as well as being a lovely person to work alongside.
I love working with Amanda. She is not only creative, making the best from the material she is given but she is also supportive in the edit suite, often contributing ideas, guiding less experienced producers and working intelligently and collaboratively with the more sure- footed. Her breadth of experience makes her a real asset to a wide range of projects.
Amanda is everything you want in a vt editor. She’s committed, engaged, creative, quick, encouraging, thoughtful, professional, open to ideas, fun to work with and a ithoroughly positive influence within any team.
I have worked with Amanda Young for some years and would highly recommend her as a gifted editor with excellent technical skills and great creativity. She is excellent at working within established formats as well as being able to help craft new formats. Amanda is also terrific at cutting to music and grasping a story line and bringing a project together . She's a real team player and fun to work with and always goes the extra mile to deliver on time . She can turn her hand to docs, wildlife, and formats with equal skill.
