Hi there! I’m a producer with lots of experience on big live shows like “The One Show”, “Stargazing Live”, "Springwatch” and “Animal Rescue Live”, with filming both in studio and on location. I’ve also done a lot of live event specials, such as Children in Need’s “Rickshaw Challenge”, The One Show’s live coverage of the Champions League Final in Cardiff, Glastonbury, Eurovision, COP26, shows from Buckingham Palace, and a tribute to Dame Barbara Windsor live from the Albert Square set.
As a producer on shows like this, I lead a team to deliver at least one episode a week to air, creating the running order, writing the script and commissioning topical VTs, plus overseeing the edit to deliver clips and VTs to the gallery.
In the gallery, I am outputting the show, working with the talent in rehearsal and live on air to deliver the best show possible. I've worked with a wide range of on screen talent, including: Adrian Chiles, Chris Evans, Prof Brian Cox, Dara O Briain, Matt Baker, Alex Jones, Christine Bleakley, the Hairy Bikers, Kate Humble, Ant Anstead, Kate Quilton, Ronan Keating, Roman Kemp, Lauren Laverne and Alex Scott - so I am used to quickly tuning into a presenter's style and getting the best out of them.
On location as OB producer, I have experience of creating new studio spaces for one off specials like Eurovision and COP26, plus using the latest Live U kit to make fast and fun live hits into the main show.
All the way back to being a researcher on “Richard & Judy”, I’ve been working with high profile celebrity guests and contributors, and working with agents and press officers to create good relationships and a positive experience for their clients and the production.
This is also true of working with important stakeholders across organisations to get things done – both externally and within the BBC, where you can often be dealing with BBC Music, Science, Events or Learning at the same time as your own department.
