Alongside achieving a First-Class degree, he has built a diverse portfolio spanning film production, journalism, festival curation and creative leadership. As President of Durham Student Filmmaking Society and Co-Founder of Four Eyes Productions, Jacob has written, directed and produced award-winning short films, including Tippy Toes, which received Best British Student Director at the European Short Awards and Best Young Director at the Pegasus Awards.
His work has also been screened at festivals in the UK and internationally.Beyond filmmaking, Jacob has written on culture, history and the arts, with published work ranging from debates surrounding the Parthenon Marbles to contemporary cultural commentary. His academic research focuses on overlooked aspects of Roman society, culminating in his dissertation Romanomics: A Socio-Economic Study into the Role of Freedmen within Ancient Roman Society.
Combining strong creative instincts with commercial awareness, Jacob is particularly interested in development, production and international media, where storytelling, strategy and audience engagement intersect.
