Over the last decade I’ve worked across BBC Radio 4, 5 Live and the World Service, producing everything from long-form documentaries and factual series to branded podcasts and commercial audio projects.Alongside BBC work, I’ve developed and produced podcasts for organisations including The Economist, The Guardian, Audible, Spotify, and The Telegraph, contributing to shows such as The Intelligence, The World Ahead, and Babbage.
My work spans the full production process — from development, research and scripting through to recording, editing, sound design, mixing and final delivery. Before moving into radio I worked professionally as a musician, which gave me a strong technical background in studio recording and sound engineering. That experience continues to shape my work, particularly my interest in immersive sound design, speech editing, and authentic location recording. During lockdown I worked on global documentary productions that involved remotely recording contributors across multiple continents while maintaining broadcast-quality audio standards.I’m especially interested in spoken-word storytelling that combines strong journalism with cinematic sound and emotionally engaging production.
My work has included investigative and factual programming, cultural documentaries, comedy podcasts, and complex narrative series, often working to tight deadlines and across multiple productions simultaneously.Alongside production work, I regularly mentor and train producers in recording techniques, editing workflows, and storytelling, contributing to workshops and schemes including Audio UK and Multitrack. Outside broadcasting, I’m also a trainee Samaritan and community befriender, experiences that continue to shape my interest in communication, empathy, and human-centred storytelling.
