Quiet Current Films, and an international upbringing across China, the US, and the UK. Together, this has shaped how I approach storytelling — not just as execution, but as a process of identifying what is truly interesting, culturally relevant, and worth making.
I began by studying Philosophy at King’s College London, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking and structuring ideas. I then completed an MA in Journalism and worked in national news, where I learned to identify the core of a story quickly, work under pressure, and shape narratives with clarity. I later trained in Documentary Filmmaking at UCL, where I translated that into character-led, visually driven storytelling.
Alongside this, through Quiet Current Films, I have worked directly with clients to develop and produce documentary and branded content — managing projects end-to-end, from shaping initial ideas through to delivery. This has given me early experience not just in production, but in understanding client needs, problem-solving, and translating concepts into tangible outputs.
I have also worked in hands-on production roles, including as a PA at Blue T and a runner at Stitch and The Quarry, supporting shoots and gaining experience across the realities of set-based work.I’m particularly interested in working with TV and advertising commercial companies because of the emphasis on strong directorial voice and original thinking — where production is not just about delivery, but about shaping ideas that stand out.
I believe I could contribute both from a story perspective and in supporting the execution of ambitious projects. Long term, I’m aiming to grow into a producer working across commercial and documentary projects — developing work that is both visually compelling and intellectually grounded. I would love the opportunity to contribute and would be very happy to connect or assist on any upcoming projects.
