Alejandro Small is a seasoned film professional with over twelve years of experience as a director and editor. He is the founder of Gallinazos Cine, an independent film production company whose projects have received awards in Peru and have been showcased at prestigious international film festivals and cultural centres worldwide. Alejandro has directed multiple award-winning films and has worked as an editor on numerous acclaimed productions. He has been selected for renowned programmes such as Berlinale Talents, Talents Buenos Aires, and the Locarno Industry Academy. Additionally, he has contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at the University of Lima, mentoring students in cinema and audiovisual direction. Alejandro is fluent in Spanish, professionally proficient in English, and has limited working proficiency in French. His latest short film, A Sudanese Dinner, was screened at HOME Manchester as part of Horizons Festival.
