I'm a Bradford-based filmmaker and creative with a BA (Hons) in Film and Television Production, and honestly, making things is just what I've always done — whether that's running a production from scratch or figuring out how to get a project over the line with limited resources.During my degree I wrote and directed two short films, editing both myself from the ground up. That end-to-end experience — taking something from a script to a finished cut — taught me more than any classroom module could. I also had the opportunity to work alongside Screen Yorkshire during my studies, which gave me a real insight into how the industry operates at a professional level.
I've acted in various productions too, so I understand what it's like to be on both sides of the camera. That perspective genuinely changes how you direct and collaborate with people.
Outside of the purely creative side, I co-founded Toothless Films — an independent production company I helped build and run for four years. We secured £4,000 in external funding, coordinated multiple productions simultaneously, and put on a public screening at the Pictureville Cinema in Bradford that over 200 people came to. I handled a lot of the logistics and stakeholder communication myself, which is where my organisational side really developed.
I also bring practical experience that I think a lot of creatives don't have — I've managed teams, handled financial reconciliation, trained staff, and kept things running under pressure in fast-paced environments. I know how to take responsibility and get things done, not just pitch ideas.
I'm at a point in my career where I want to channel all of that into the right opportunity — production, coordination, or anything that lets me contribute both creatively and operationally. Based in Bradford, happy to travel across West Yorkshire and beyond.
