Alongside senior-level EA roles across creative, technology and media businesses, I’ve built a parallel career as a playwright and screenwriter. My work has been staged at leading UK new-writing venues, and over time I’ve developed a strong instinct for story, structure and character — both through my own writing and through supporting the development of others’ work.
A significant part of my development experience comes through script reading and reporting. I’ve assessed scripts for organisations including Talawa, the Orange Tree Theatre, the Bush Theatre, BBC Studios Writers’ Academy and the BBC Comedy Collective. My coverage has been commended for its clarity and editorial insight, and I particularly enjoy identifying the underlying engine of a story — what’s working, what’s not yet landing, and where the emotional spine sits.Through ITV Original Voices and the BBC Studios Writers’ Academy, I gained hands-on experience of collaborative story-breaking and responding to editorial notes within the realities of continuing drama. Writing for Coronation Street, EastEnders and Casualty gave me a practical understanding of pace, structure and production constraint — where story ambition must align with schedule, tone and audience expectation.
I’ve also supported scripted development teams at Kindle Entertainment and Fifth Season (formerly Endeavor Content), assisting with submissions, rights tracking, workshops and stakeholder liaison. Combined with my executive support background, this means I’m as comfortable organising a development slate as I am interrogating the strength of a script.
I’m naturally curious and drawn to bold, character-led storytelling with emotional resonance. I bring analytical rigour, organisational strength and a collaborative, good-humoured approach as I continue to grow within development.
