Vedika Tuwani is a director, visual anthropologist, and journalist whose work spans continents. A natural people-person, she is driven by a deep curiosity for human stories—how they are lived, felt, and remembered. Her work in South Asia includes leading campaigns on women’s rights and intersectional issues, and her recent film explores the lives of South Asian Black Taxi drivers in Manchester, examining how the city has shaped their identities and how they, in turn, have shaped the city.Across film, photography, and writing, Vedika listens closely to both the spoken and the unspoken.
