I am a London based designer seeking to further my experience and knowledge in design for entertainment. I am open to opportunities within the industry from a production runner, petty cash buyer or as an extra pair of hands for set dressing.
I have recently worked on a large scale production as a Set Decorator Trainee on Apple TV. I helped design and build custom pieces that fit the story’s world, whether that meant aging everyday objects, crafting graphics, or modifying existing items to match the script. It required problem-solving, attention to detail, and an understanding of how things would look on camera.
I have also recently completed a short course in Set Design for TV and Film at Central Saint Martins. Topics covered over the course included: Analysing scripts in depth, transforming story, character, and tone into immersive mood boards and visual concepts, and supporting them with technical orthographic drawings and carefully constructed scale models.
I have a degree in Interior Design which has honed my attention to detail through the effective use of materials, colours, furnishings and lighting. I am able to work with numerous materials from physical work like free-hand drawing and model/prop making to mixed media, having learnt to use services such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Indesign and Photoshop.
I am able to adapt quickly to new changes with an open mind, ready to learn new techniques that will push me to understand design-based projects in more depth. I enjoy being social and meeting new people and working in a lively environments. As an employee, I can be relied on to be punctual and professional as well as energetic and friendly.
