Chuckie’s slate comprises standout, genre-bending stories by underrepresented filmmakers, with her company INKCAP FILMS. Focused on queer and womxn-led narratives in the SW region, she’s an active advocate for grassroots arts and facilitating access routes to industry for emerging talent.
In 2020, Chuckie co-founded Grey Moth Originals, which actively facilitates access routes for underrepresented filmmakers, by financing short films, hosting free of charge technical workshops, and offering paid placements on film sets to trainees. Grey Moth Originals has invested over £100,000 from company profits into filmmakers, and completed 20+ short films and one feature from this initiative to date.
In 2022, Chuckie was selected for the inaugural BFI X NFTS Beyond Shorts scheme, a six month talent development programme in anticipation of developing narrative feature films. Chuckie has a slate of features in development, including one with the BFI.
Since 2023, Chuckie has spoken as a guest panelist and hosted a number of industry events with partners such as: Girls In Film, BFI Network, BAFTA Connect and BBC Comedy.
