My name is Elizabeth Collins, though most people call me Libby, and I’m a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I studied Communication and Consumer Psychology. I’m originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and I’m driven by a lifelong passion for storytelling that informs, engages, and inspires.

That passion took a more focused shape during my internship at the Pew Research Center, where I studied how Americans consume news in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. I saw firsthand how vital it is to meet audiences where they are—on their phones, in their feeds, and across emerging platforms. From that point forward, I set out to create journalism that is not only informative, but accessible, engaging, and made for the mediums people use most.

At Penn, I co-founded POV – Penn on Video, the university’s first student-led digital news show. As co-chair, I produced and hosted video segments that examined global and local issues through the lens of the Penn community, blending on-camera reporting, video editing, and digital strategy. I also wrote for The WALK Magazine, analyzed television content at the Annenberg Public Policy Center, and interned at a Broadway production company in New York, gaining hands-on experience in content creation, audience engagement, and strategic storytelling.

Now back in Phoenix, I’ve joined KTAR News / Arizona Sports as a part-time Multimedia Producer, after being promoted from my original intern role. In this position, I produce social-first news and sports content, working across video, carousel posts, thumbnails, and graphics. I collaborate closely with show producers and hosts to pitch ideas and shape platform-specific strategies.Since joining the team, I’ve helped drive KTAR’s strongest digital growth of the year—social impressions jumped from 4 million in Q1 to 7.5 million in July. I’ve led key innovations like introducing captioning across all short-form videos (tripling average watch time), launching a carousel series, and helping embed new editorial workflows across teams.

I thrive at the intersection of journalism, media, entertainment, and marketing—where storytelling isn’t just about information, but impact.
