My work primarily explores themes of youth storytelling, violence prevention, and the transformative potential of radical education and utopian imagining in shaping more just and hopeful futures.
With a background in Visual Anthropology (BA Hons) and Social Justice & Education (MA Distinction, IOE/UCL), I have worked on a diverse range of projects, in a wide range of roles. I am currently working with the London-Based documentary maker Amir Amirani (Director and Producer of 'We are Many' etc.) on some of his upcoming projects. Last year, I co-directed a short documentary with teenagers in Ōtaki, Aotearoa NZ, about their community-led response to the housing crisis, which premiered at Māoriland Film Festival 2025. Through informal and intimate storytelling, my other short documentaries and creative projects explore themes of youth mediation and conflict resolution, radical and decolonial education, gender and masculinities, identity, community belonging, and transformative justice.
My broader experience spans the film and creative industries - as a production assistant, sound assistant, location marshal and as a freelance filmmaker for charities such as Article12Arts and Calm Mediation. I’ve facilitated drama therapy workshops in Brixton Prison, inclusive sex and relationship education workshops in schools, and supported children at risk of falling behind in the pandemic.
I am open to opportunities as a documentary researcher, educational workshop developer and fascilitator, and roles on more collaborative or youth/subject-led films and ideas. Feel free to get in touch!
