Two key skills that help me succeed in roles are my creativity, and strong people skills. My creativity comes from a strong background in storytelling and filmmaking, having completed a First-Class degree in Theatre & Performance followed by an MA in Practical Filmmaking. Having often approached projects from a writing and directing perspective, my creative understanding has also become a strength within production roles. It allows me to engage meaningfully with scripts, anticipate creative needs, and support directors, writers, and producers in realising their vision in practical ways. Producing and assistant directing short films has shown me how creative problem-solving is essential when working within time, budget, and logistical constraints. Equally important are my people skills. I am sociable, approachable, and confident communicating with a wide range of individuals, from creative teams to production staff and external partners. This has been developed through both film work and fast-paced, people-facing roles, including my position as a Café Team Leader at Daylesford Organic and my work on a large-scale Netflix production (Back in Action). These experiences have taught me how to build positive working relationships, stay calm under pressure, and contribute to a collaborative environment, all of which are essential qualities within a busy production department.
