My experience spans large-scale, retrospective factual series—including the Emmy-nominated Earthstorm (Netflix), where I gained unique access to volcanic exclusion zones or remote parts of South America for Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World, Surviving Earth (NBC/Universal) which I developed from inception to delivery alongside Walking with Dinosaurs creator Tim Haines; and the Grierson-nominated High: Confessions of an Ibiza Drug Mule (Netflix/BBC Three). I've also worked on Channel 4's Operation Dark Phone:Murder by text that combined drama recon with interviews and archive, nominated for best visual series at the RTS awards. 

I have self-shot up to Producer/Director level on character-led, observational documentaries such as the BAFTA-winning Hospital and The Met (BBC Two), and Emergency (Channel 4) and Surgeons (BBC2).

In the current affairs and archive-driven biopic space, my credits include BBC Two’s Bolsonaro’s Boys from Brazil and Hugo Chavez: Revolution in Ruins as well as stints on The Tonight program (ITV).

These acclaimed productions have been instrumental in developing my storytelling craft—refining my visual storytelling across genres and deepening my understanding of what elevates a good story into a great one. This has also fueled my growing interest in scripted factual and nonfiction drama. To further this, I’ve trained at John Yorke’s Story Academy and am now developing scripts as part of their writing cohort. Above all, I’m passionate about the stories being memorable, impactful and inciting change. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked on projects that align with my core interests: music, scientific discovery, politics and history, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.

Some recent highlights:

Surviving Earth (Peacock/NBC) – Co-authored and produced multiple episodes of this 8-part CGI series alongside Exec Tim Haines. I developed the series from a 50-page research document through to post-production, contributing to storyboarding, scripting, and edit producing.

High: Confessions of an Ibiza Drug Mule (BBC Three/Netflix) – Worked closely with director Stuart Bernard to shape the episode structure by breaking down Michaella McCollum’s biography. Secured rare access to Peru’s justice system and interviewed Michaella’s former inmates.

Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World (CNN) – Producer on this award-winning series. Directed segments, found contributors, wrote stories, and negotiated access in challenging locations.Hospital (BBC Two/Apple TV) – Produced and directed up to PD level on this BAFTA-nominated observational series. Shot and developed key storylines including Blessing’s and John’s in Series 5, Episodes 1 & 5.

Emergency (Channel 4) – Developed access and produced the story of spinal patient Jorge and his family for this acclaimed medical series.The Met: Policing London (BBC Two) – Solo cast response officers for this landmark series, working closely with the Met Police.

Earthstorm (Netflix) – Gained unique access to a volcanic exclusion zone and crater for this Emmy-nominated series.

Development Work – Led development projects for Spun Gold TV and Oxford Scientific Films. Cast contributors, shot tasters, and wrote treatments—several of which secured development funding.

Languages & Access – Fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese, which I’ve used extensively to gain access and conduct interviews internationally.

Early Career & Independent Work – Began my career at Sheffield Doc/Fest, where I’ve remained an active participant. I was awarded a commission for my debut documentary Somaliland: An Experiment in Democracy, which screened at the festival. Read Less
