Read MoreMaddalena Crespi is an Italian film director and screenwriter, born in Milan in 1989. She grew up in Scotland, where she graduated in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, before returning to Milan to work as a writer for publishing houses and newspapers. In 2019 she deepened her interest in Northern European cinema by attending a course on Scandinavian Film at the University of Copenhagen. In 2022 she wrote and directed her first short film, Miranda’s Mind, which received several awards at national and international festivals. In 2025 she served as executive producer of Andrej Chinappi’s Il Nemico, which premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival. That same year, she directed I Sassi, produced by Salice Production and Pistacchio Film with the support of Emilia-Romagna Film Commission. She is currently developing her first feature film.
