I’m an experienced self-shooting documentary producer, director, and editor, with an MFA in Film Directing from the Edinburgh College of Art. My experience is mainly observational documentaries.I have been making documentaries for the past 12 years, many of these completed during commissions and artist residencies as well as funds from WorldView Media. I have shot in Spain, the USA, Nepal as well as Scotland.I am a confident self shooter, experienced with a range of cameras including Canon C-series cameras. My skills include sound recording, lighting as well as having many years of experience interviewing, casting and working with contributors. I am also an experienced editor and currently use Adobe Premiere.In addition, I have been an international educator for several years working in countries such as Libya, Pakistan, Jordan, and Tunisia, helping to run documentary workshops, and working as an editing consultant.My films have won several awards (included BAFTA New Talent), been nominated, and short-listed for awards such as the European Film Award and Grierson.My first TV credit as a Director was on a film commissioned by STV and produced by the Scottish Documentary Institute was broadcast in June 2019 - 'Adventures in Dementia' features Agnes & Nancy from my previous film, Agnes & Nancy.I'm currently producing my first feature, Night Gardener.
