I have recently graduated from the University of Bristol with a Second Class Honours (2:1) degree in Film and Television. During my time at University I strengthened several key skills which I consider to be applicable to the film industry. I discovered my passion for editing and used final cut pro to co-edit a podcast that I filmed for my Social Media Unit, for which I received a first. I was also lucky enough to complete a work experience week with Love Productions in London, where I spoke to the editors of both 'Bake Off: The Professionals' and the 'Bake Off' social media page. A second skill that I developed was organisation, as when I undertook the role of Production Coordinator for a University Department project, I needed to independently email clients and schedule group meetings/ monitor group progress.
Before I began my course, I wrote, filmed and edited my own comedy skits on TikTok - I gained 90,000 followers from this. I had to stop posting social media content due to other commitments but now that I have graduated I am considering making a return. I also wrote and directed my own comedy play at 17, yet the final production was sadly cancelled due to covid restrictions. Right now I am excited to immerse myself in the professional world of television and film, and am looking for junior editor or cinematographer roles. Aside from my education, my hobbies include photography, walking/the outdoors and music.
