Vicki was able to steer an extremely complex and difficult international co-production that had a first-time director and a host of sensitive subjects with a level of calm and brilliance that left us at Vanity Fair in a constant state of thanks that we had her as the executive producer and showrunner on the project. She is not just creative and highly adaptable, she is also a wonderful person and a joy to work with.

Sarah Amos, VP of Development & Production at Condé Nast Entertainment

Vicki brought an energy and passion to the job that never wavered, from her first day through to TX. Her editorial instincts, director's vision and sheer tenacity in the face of multiple hurdles, drove the quality of the series ever upwards. We literally couldn't have made it without her!

Lucie Duxbury, Head of Programmes at The Garden Productions

Vicki has made a number of invesEgaEve films for us at Channel 4 as both a director and an execuEve producer. They are always accessible, emoEonally resonant, impacMul, and are incredibly creaEvely told. Vicki is a dream to work with and always goes the extra mile to make the best possible film.

Louisa Compton, Head of News and Current Affairs and Specialist Factual and Sport at Channel 4

Vicki is a joy to work with. She’s a passionate and principled film maker with creative flair and innate emotional intelligence. She is able to combine her journalistic rigour and her visual storytelling skills with a genuine empath’s sense of how to look after both her contributors and her teams. It’s the holy trinity for me. Plus, she is fun! A true one-off. And she brings that refreshing attitude to the screen

Sam Starbuck, Executive Producer, Creative Director, SVP Documentaries

Vicki is a very strong director of great range who always brings creative ideas to a project. She is an original thinker who thinks of all angles, both visual and in the narrative, which would never have struck me. She has huge reserves of enthusiasm, energy and humour which she brings to every film. A terrific team player and a joy to work with

Dorothy Byrne, Executive Producer and former Head of News and Current Affairs, Channel 4

I have just completed the most complex series of films about the Monarchy for the BBC which Vicki directed. I do not think I have ever worked with a director who showed such an immediate intelligent grasp of what I was trying to achieve. We worked closely on both the substance and the style of the films. On the technical front she was superb, fastidious and creative in setting the style of the films, never satisfied until every scene was exactly the way she wanted and achieving this without showing any sign of impatience or frustration however difficult the challenge. Perhaps most important of all, her warmth and good humour made her a joy to work with. An inspiration.

David Dimbleby, Broadcaster

Vicki was the Director/Producer on one of my documentaries, Sugar Rush, and I'm so proud of the show we made together. Creating documentaries is always a challenge – you`re trying to create something meaningful that really resonates with the public and, in this case, inspires them to pledge their support to make real, lasting change, while often coming up against time and budget constraints. Vicki was a joy to work with throughout – she had a clear vision and a wonderful directorial eye, shaping moments with clarity, sensitivity, and visual intelligence. Vicki was always collaborative, and consistently brought brilliant ideas to the table. She was passionate, proactive, especially in high-pressure situations, and really rallied the team together to create the best programme possible.

Jamie Oliver

Nick Hornby, Joint CEO, Optomen

Eamonn Matthews

Vicki is a really talented film-maker with a strong eye of empathetic characters and striking visual imagery. She bought real passion and conviction to her work and was also very easy and fun to work alongside. She thinks hard and long about her films and was patient with her subjects and her EP and commissioning editor ! It was a pleasure to have her working with us,
,

Chris Shaw, Editorial Director ITN Productions
