I’m Rachel Mullen, founder and creative director of RFDesigns, a San Diego–based lighting design studio established in 2010. With nearly two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, I bring a unique blend of creative vision and technical precision to every project.Since 2006, I’ve designed and programmed lighting for a wide range of productions—spanning theater, concerts, television, corporate events, exhibitions, and nightlife venues. My work has taken me across the United States and abroad, collaborating with industry leaders such as PRG, Creative Technology, and Delicate Productions. I’ve had the privilege of lighting projects for major names and brands including ESPN, John Leguizamo, Summer X-Games, BlizzCon, Meghan Trainor, E3 (Atari), Maroon 5, Skylar Grey, Demi Lovato, John Deere, and the Drone Racing League.At RFDesigns, our mission is to combine creative excellence with the technical expertise necessary to deliver innovative lighting concepts to projects of any scale—from intimate private events to large-scale stadium productions.
