I am a University of Bath Criminology graduate (BSc) with an interest in screenwriting. My degree allows me to create characters with sociological and psychological depth and provides me with real-world inspiration for my stories. I am particularly aware of the relationship between media and crime, and how films and TV series predominately shapes the public perception of crime and individuals involved/victimised by crime – a sociological issue in society.
Alongside my degree, I have, and continue to, write and produce my own short films, have led the ‘Features and Investigations’ sector of my university newspaper, and have built hands-on production experience across scripted, unscripted, post-production, and advertising media. I have worked alongside companies including Me + You Productions, Wonderhood Studios, Curve Media, and Alaska TV for Channel 4.
My dream career is to work in development and screenwriting, and, although I don’t have a university level degree in this area, I have sought out other means to expand my knowledge including ScreenSkills, Open University, and Future Learn courses. Additionally, I am extremely proactive and will look for any opportunities I can to expand my industry knowledge.I have written and co-produced three short films (two in post-production, one in production) and am writing a 30-45 minute long short film which will be filmed in 2027.
