My career spans multiple countries, Australia, Asia Pacific (from Singapore base) and the United Kingdom. I have experience in marketing, branding, advertising and market insights and analytics. I have over six years experience working in finance, science and technology market research, my early career a further six years, in branding, marketing, advertising and public relations consulting. I am experienced in setting up and running communities for organisations, branding, PR and advertising research and for special product launches. Some clients include Standard Life, MoneySupermarket, Nationwide, Nest, Yorkshire Water, Co-op, Gusto, British Airways, OneFamily and OVO Energy in UK, and Visa interntional in AP.
Prior to this I lead the national market research function at Australia for the Government Scientific Research Agencies (CSIRO) where I established their market research department and conducted qualitative research with their stakeholders including CEOs of MNCs, NGOS, MPs, Media, Senior Scientists Researchers and the public.
In my early career I worked in a marketing and public relations capacity as a consultant in Healthcare Associations (ANMC), as well as in consulting at Professional Public Relations for FMC, IT, Associations, Federal and State Governments and education providers. I wrote monthly newsletters, media articles, websites, adverts for print and TV, as well as strategic and issues and crisis plans.
In each of my roles, on both agent and client side, I managed and reported on budgets as well as briefing, designing and reporting on research findings and running co-creation ideation workshops. I also managed the IPO reporting requirements at Visa International, creating the project tracking spread sheet and reports used monitor and audit our projects during the IPO. I wrote training guides on GDPR accountability and working with vulnerable stakeholders for Co-op – food, insurance and funeral markets.
I took a break in my career to raise a family, while I also completed a Masters in Business Administration (Executive) and freelancers for SMEs including a positive psychology performance coaching business. I also believe in continuous learning, and I’m undertaking courses in working with data, psychology, ideation, storytelling and reporting to broaden my skills and feed my appetite for learning. In my spare time, I can be found in nature or making TV series at film school and working on human rights, environmental and community projects.
