I started my camera career in traditional film and was mentored, amongst others, by one of Jacques Cousteau’s diving colleagues,Gary Haselau. I have 35 years experience as a Lighting Cameraman/DP, 19 years for SABC. With wide-ranging expertise in African & international filming, I’m an expert in helicopter aerials, have great sea legs and am fully competent with all cameras ; I filmed four times in the Antarctic - a place on this earth which I love, despite the extreme temperatures and camera challenges. I am now living permanently in the UK based in Bath and can travel. I have also worked as a investigative journalist and had a very good report with the police and handled difficult cases very sensitively. So in conclusion can work across the board as a cameraman and a journalist In addition I have the only 4 units of the Perfect Horizon Stabilisers outside the USA.
