I am based in Huddersfield, but willing to commute or relocate. I hold a UK drivers license, have complete flexibility in my hours and am available to start work immediately.
My experience in front of the camera taught me from a young age how a set runs and the importance of set etiquette. It also instilled in me a passion for the industry. My acting credits include as an actor in the Toys R Us Christmas campaign, alongside extra work in CBBC’s Hank Zipzer, and ITV’s Jericho, Emmerdale, and To Walk Invisible. My passion for the arts is also evidenced in my lifelong commitment to drama, singing, and acting. From a young age I was a part of REBEL School of Theatre Arts and later performed in amateur productions with Huddersfield Light Opera Company, and Lancaster University’s Theatre Society.
In my third year of university, I studied film at Sunway University in Malaysia. During this time, I made my first amateur film with a small group of fellow students. My role was as scriptwriter, although we worked collaboratively throughout. Pre-filming we pitched our ideas and compiled a shot list. During filming, I worked on all aspects, helping set up all our shots and acting as the sound technician. I also drafted production schedules and call sheets. Throughout the production of this film, I learned about the intricate planning and attention to detail that is required to create media, alongside vital team leading skills. This experience gave me invaluable knowledge on how a set should run, and I would love the opportunity to further this knowledge.
I believe I have a strong skill set for a runner role, due to my extensive work experience across several industries. Currently, I worked with neurodiverse children in schools, a role which has taught me the importance of clear and effective communication and provided me with the ability to work well and remain calm in high pressure (and often highly emotional) situations. My previous roles include as a listener for Nightline, which provided me with experience in working long and unsociable hours. Additionally, we followed strict confidentiality and anonymity guidelines, as we were handling sensitive information. My plethora of roles within the customer service industry, alongside as a student ambassador for Lancaster University have developed my ability to be punctual and organised; and my time as a research assistant gave me the IT and administrative skills I would need to excel as a runner.
