I worked in the film industry for over a year and a half at a kids and family Film and TV indie called Threewise Entertainment during which time I worked on commissions for Nickelodeon and Warner Brother’s Discovery. In addition, I freelanced with Popcorn & Co. on promotional films for The National Trust and The Blue Coats School, Birmingham.
My responsibilities covered pre-production support (casting calls, first-line audition feedback, story development, pitch-deck development, organising writer’s rooms and taking meeting notes, child licencing, booking travel and catering), production support (on-set problem solving, setting up lighting equipment, time keeping), and post-production assistance (reviewing episode edits of Nickelodeon’s Rock Island Mysteries in addition to internal production edit reviews). Alongside this work I was responsible for the EP's correspondence, organizing his calendar and the broader team's, and greeting prospective writer's, crew and clients both within the office and at networking events.
I loved working in the fast-paced, creative environment and adored being part of a team that brings ideas to life however unfortunately my role was made redundant. Therefore, for the past year and a half, I have worked in recruitment being promoted after 7 months to a senior team member. This has been a role that has sharpened my communication with clients and candidates, organization, contract negotiation all within a strict deadline and high-pressure environment.
While my experience gained in this industry has been valuable to my professional development, my continued interest outside of work to read, write and keep up to date with developments within the film and television industry, it has confirmed what I already knew: a storytelling and production environment is where I belong.
I’m now actively returning to film and television with energy, a broader skillset, and a deeper appreciation for the work you do. I’m comfortable adapting to new environments, managing intricate workloads under time pressure, and supporting people—whether that’s crew, cast, or clients.
If you're open to someone who’s keen to step back in with real drive and a willingness to learn, I’d love to contribute to your team. I am happy to jump in wherever needed—on set, in production offices, or at client locations.
I have a one week notice period. I am based in Manchester and able to relocate to London.
