Sasha is a proactive and creative Researcher with experience supporting documentary and factual entertainment productions. They have provided research support for companies including Basement Films, Kudeta Films, and Voltage TV, working across background research, story development, contributor sourcing, location sourcing and visual reference research. 

Alongside their production experience, Sasha brings a strong grounding in public policy from their former role as Senior Policy Adviser for Film and TV at DCMS. There they developed an in-depth understanding of production — including co-productions, UK screen tax reliefs, and grant funding — and most notably led on making the case for and introducing the Independent Film Tax Credit. This background has equipped them with a sharp analytical skillset, deep knowledge of the UK screen sector, and an ability to communicate complex information with clarity and precision. 

Sasha also brings hands on craft experience from working in the art department for scripted productions. This dual background helps them to translate editorial ideas into creative outcomes with a strong visual identity. Read Less
