I am a Jewish, autistic writer, performer, and director from Manchester. I was a finalist for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award 2022 and the Channel 4 Writing for Television Award 2020. As an autistic woman, I am able to bring a neurodivergent perspective to the writing and directing process – an important factor for young audiences in particular. I am passionate about neurodivergent and disabled representation onscreen, and understand the positive impact this can have for underrepresented groups. In 2023, I directed a live performance of my television comedy-drama ‘Beth’s Din’ at Manchester Jewish Museum, in which I also played the lead role. I am currently directing two sketches (which I have also written) for my local theatre group’s annual sketch show, in which I will also be performing. I graduated in MLitt Theatre & Performance Practices from the University of Glasgow and BA (Hons) Theatre Studies from Lancaster University and have trained with ActUpNorth and the Actors’ Lab.
