Hi, I'm Mia,
I am a 26 year old South African woman living in South West London.
I have moved to the UK under an Ancestral Visa to chase my dream to become an Editor.
I am a qualified, passionate and creative Assistant Editor with four years of industry experience. I have holistic knowledge and experience in post production work. My passion lies in framing and cutting together beautiful, detailed moments and creating a visual language through film. I aspire to tell the story of the subject matter as honestly as possible, without inserting any biased opinions, all while creating a story that would be enjoyed by a wide range of audience. I personally like to fully immerse myself in the story of what I am editing.

I started my career in the MCR department at Clear Cut Pictures, and shortly later moved to become a Senior Edit Assistant at Molinare Creative Group. I have been lucky enough to work with many great BAFTA and Emmy award winning Editors, Filmmakers and Directors. I work really well in a team, always listening to the Director and lead Editor’s wants and needs and adapting my workflow to suit them. I believe that working at two of the biggest Post Production houses in London has given me a head start as an Assistant Editor, concering technical and editing skills, as well as time management skills.
