His work spans a wide range of formats, from commercial campaigns and branded content to live production and real-world, human-interest stories. In recent years, his experience has expanded into high-pressure studio and broadcast environments, contributing to live programming at major international events and working alongside global media partners.
Alongside this, Rhys continues to deliver campaign and commercial work through his independent production business, collaborating with agencies, government entities, and major regional organisations to translate ideas into high-quality visual output.
With a background in photography, he brings a strong visual instinct and attention to detail to all aspects of his work, whether directing larger productions or operating as a self-shooter on more agile projects. Equally comfortable managing a crew or working independently, he prides himself on professionalism, preparation, and the ability to deliver under pressure.
Prior to his work in media, Rhys was a teacher in Wales and Ras Al Khaimah, and has travelled extensively, including educational work in Grenada and volunteer projects in Nepal. These experiences continue to inform his interest in people, culture, and real-world storytelling.
In 2023, Rhys was granted UAE Golden Visa status in recognition of his contribution to the country’s cultural and creative sector.
Away from work Rhys has a love for his family and his dogs. A lifelong basketballer, musician and traveller who is always seeking the new adventure, experience and knowledge.
