I am a Hair and Make-up Trainee currently studying BA Hair and Make-up for Film and Television at Buckinghamshire New University. I thoroughly enjoy my course and have learned a wide variety of skills to which I can apply within industry practice. I have worked on set for a variety of productions and events. Although I am now in search of work experience within a professional environment to better my skills and knowledge of the industry.
I Specialise mainly in the areas of Fashion/Editorial, Film and Television and Wig-making/ styling. I currently run a successful small wig styling business 'Styled by Jaq' which I've ran for over 4 years. My role involves designing and styling wigs for high profile drag queens and likeminded creatives. I feel that having experience alongside a Wig Maker would be invaluable for me as I am keen to understand the various new techniques, current styles and work ethic.
Aside from Wig styling, I have a love for the fashion industry and editorial make-up. As an artist, I feel my style is forward thinking, bold and creative. I love to create designs which don't follow societal norm and i enjoy experimenting with the human form and structure. I have great admiration in regards to designer's thought process, storytelling and purpose behind the design. I feel my perspective and skillset could be applied well within the fashion industry.
