Blending a documentary eye with sharp production instincts, Luiza Matravolgyi is a São Paulo–based filmmaker and assistant director who moves fluidly between high-profile commercials, music videos, and social-impact documentaries. Her award-winning documentary Weaving Freedom received the United Nations Nelson Mandela Award, and her other independent films have been selected by festivals across Brazil and abroad. She holds a degree in Film from the University of São Paulo and a postgraduate degree in Cine Documental from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
