Communications professional with 10+ years of experience in the public sector, specialising in external communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic projects. I have built my career within higher education and government, where I provide strategic communications and stakeholder relations advice to senior executives and lead high-level initiatives that strengthen organisational reputation and public engagement. My work bridges across corporate communication strategy, community outreach, public relations and media liaison campaigns, and stakeholder engagement programmes. As a Media Liaison Officer, I play a key advisory role in executive communication, managing media relations at a strategic level, driving proactive communication efforts, shaping public messaging, and guiding leaders on emerging issues, risks, and media opportunities. My role centres on influencing communication direction, strengthening stakeholder trust, and ensuring alignment between executive priorities and public communication. I've also lectured media studies and communication management at the University of Johannesburg, integrating theory and practice to better prepare students for real-world challenges in communication.
