Stephen has worked across a wide range of programme styles. His roles have included primarily offline editing with additional online experience.

 Before venturing into broadcast media, Stephen got started as a wedding videographer. Under the name Wildwood Wedding Films he was nominated for Best Videographer in Scotland’s Confetti Awards, and The Scottish Wedding Awards.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, he edited the entire output for Celtic Connections 2021 which saw an hour and a half of broadcast worthy music content being released daily to a ticket paying, international audience over the course of 3 weeks.

 Stephen then gained employment with Savalas, as an Edit Assistant, during which he was primarily responsible for Ingest and Graphics on a variety of shows. Under this employment he offine edited BBC Social’s The Reluctant Environmentalist.  

 Since 2022, he has worked on a freelance basis, primarily within BBC Scotland’s Post Production department.

 He often works on fast turnaround shows like the BBC's flagship programme Question Time, and Sportscene, and often works within their Promos team where he is responsible for the offline editing, online editing and delivery of BBC Scotland’s promotions.

 Stephen was part of the editing team involved in season 2 of BBC’s Scam Interceptors where he was involved in the assembly of different stories that would become part of the overall programme build. Read Less
