I am a BAFTA nominated Scottish director, writer and animator. I started out making factual programs, directing two self-shot documentaries for BBC Scotland, including the Scottish BAFTA nominated SCOTLAND'S BRAND NEW BANK.

I then moved to London and studied directing at the National Film and Television School and emerged with two ambitious short films: post apocalyptic father/son story SKYBORN (BIFA nominated) and space-romance ORBIT EVER AFTER (BAFTA nominated).

My shorts got me started in directing TV drama and since then I've worked with the BBC, Sky, Sony and Channel 4 among others. My recent credits include lead directing two series of DOCTOR WHO, TEN POUND POMS and NIGHTSLEEPER.

I love storytelling in all its forms and am always excited to try new things. I love creative problem solving on set and some of my most rewarding jobs have been the ones where I've been able to break new ground, including making a live action Playstation game ERICA in 2019. 

I live in London but also have acomodation in Glasgow and frequently work between both Scotland and England. Although most of my recent work has been in medium-large scale TV drama, I am keen to explore new opportunities that take advantage of my ability to self shoot and edit.
